Wait...What? A Friday Post??

My new baby arrived today.  It arrived early as a matter of fact.  The delivery folks said between 1 and 3, but I got a call when I was just stepping in from my morning swim, er, run this morning (it was a bit warm and humidistickity and I was drenched, not that you needed that mental image...).  I had planned on doing my crunches and push-ups and getting a quick shower before lunch but instead began racing around to empty the fridge and freezer.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.  I mean, this beauty came to live with us after all.  :o)  It's odd having something so bright and shiny over there where there was once a black fridge.  I keep seeing light out of the corner of my eye and think the door is open.  It's just the fridge reflecting the light from the kitchen windows.  No big deal. ;o)  It was like instant room brightener bringing this in.

Look at how beautiful and pristine.  I've made a pact with myself it will stay this way.  Spills and splatters will be wiped up immediately.  Dead food won't be lost forever.  Heck, look at the space!  No way are we losing things in here!  That bottom drawer now holds all the yogurts, cheese sticks and other snacks for the girlies.  That top bin on the right door is holding milk, juice juice, and three bottles of wine. ;o)

On the left door at the top?  That's the ice maker.  Hidden.  So it takes up very little space.  It's not taking up any room in the fridge.  Nope.

Nor is it taking up any room in the freezer.  Holy smokes is this thing roomy! :o)  Oh man oh man.  I'm sooooo happy with this baby! :oD

Now this baby, well, I wasn't quite as happy with her yesterday.  Who knew dumping dog food from the bin to the floor could be so much fun?  Three times no less.  :eye roll:

This is all sorts of awesome and good.  Gotta love a good orange fluff.  This was made using vanilla pudding and not cottage cheese.  So tasty.

And, for Liss, the Miss Amelia.  It is in fact a Red Volunteer blooming today, but I couldn't get a photo before the rain started. :o(  Sorry.  I'll get one tomorrow.

Brien and Lil are heading up to NOVA for the weekend.  They'll be staying in a hotel(!!) and going to the Nats/Braves game Sunday afternoon.  It's kids' day so she'll get a jersey, they'll be signing autographs (no telling who, but does it really matter if you're six?) and have a chance to run the bases at the end of the game.  How fun is that?  I think B is planning on taking her to the Mall tomorrow afternoon to see what they can get into.  I can't wait to hear all about it! :o)  And, maybe I'm just a wee smidge jealous...just a teeny tiny bit.  :oP

I am so, so jealous of your new fridge!!! Mine is only 5 years old and I can't wait til it goes kaput. I agree with you on the side-by-side...yuck! FYI-a good cleaner for stainless steel is Citrushine stainless steel polish. Shines my appliances very nicely and smells oh so yummy!

Dianne,

Thank you!! That was my biggest concern with getting stainless--small fingers and hands and shiny appliances. Eek!

Hello new friend!

Love your new fridge! Isn't it fun being a grown-up & getting all excited over new stuff for cleaning? I "heart" cheap thrills.

Is it sad to say that after a couple of days, I still want to lick the awesomeness of coolant storage stowed away in the cubby of your kitchen? Such massive delightfulness! I heart the bottom drawer the most.

Rach.... love your new Baby. We got a three door fridge, too and we LOVE it. You are right about it reflecting light and brightening a room, too. I am so pleased for you - and you are going to love your new fridge for a long time!
Brien and Lil must have had a great time today. What a thrill to run the bases!
